"Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun"
I had some ground beef on hand, some bacon, charcoals - this meant I was going to have to do some que'ing. But something special was in order. I decided I was going to let McDonald's Big Mac be my inspiration, and I thought, maybe I can take it to the next level.
INGREDIENTS:
- ground beef
- spices (ground coriander, s&p, garlic powder, red chili powder)
- bacon
- cheese slices
- hamburger buns, buttered
- onion, sliced into rings
- jalapenos, sliced into rings
- dill relish
- mayonnaise
- bbq sauce (PC stampede & siracha)
- tomato slice
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Mix ground beef with spices (I let them 'marinate' for a day).
- Form into small balls, place ball on cellophane, cover, roll thin with rolling pin.
- Heat BBQ.
- Grill bacon, set aside.
- Add patties to BBQ.
- Place jalapeno & onion on tin foil over heat (optional).
- Place buns on outer edges of grill.
- Brush patties with BBQ sauce.
- When patties are ready, add peppers & onion, then bacon, then cheese and leave until cheese melts.
- Remove buns, add patty/toppings to bun, add condiments, enjoy!
Look at those flames. This is gonna be good.

I only had 3 patties, so I made a second 'normal' burger. So basically its a BBQ Bacon Burger. It may be smaller, but it worked just as long. The other burger was a towering monstrosity. 1/3 to 1/2 the size of my head! Not including the spikes.
WHAT COULD I HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY? Well, better shaped patties would be number one. And I let them cook just 2 minutes too long. Other than that, I was in heaven. Smokey bacon, biting jalapeno, bold bbq sauce - and a mouthfull. I ate it out on the patio, had my portable dvd player, and just enjoyed a beautiful fall afternoon.

I'm loving it.

Look delish! That's quite a burger!
I'm just reviewing this post like a year later, and those patty's look nasty. What the hell was I thinking allowing those mishaped monsters on the grill?
My burger construction technique has vastly improved
